What changed this year
Recent rate, bracket and threshold changes from IRAS and the relevant authorities.
CPF Ordinary Wage ceiling raised to SGD 8,000
The monthly Ordinary Wage ceiling rose from SGD 7,400 to SGD 8,000, with the annual salary ceiling at SGD 102,000. Contribution rates for ages 55–65 were also increased.
CPF BoardPersonal Income Tax Rebate not extended
The 60% rebate (capped at SGD 200) applied to YA 2025 only. No equivalent rebate is currently legislated for YA 2026.
IRASBSD top tiers increased
Buyer’s Stamp Duty rates were raised for the upper bands: 5% on the portion above SGD 1.5m (residential), and 6% on the portion above SGD 3m.
IRASABSD rates raised across the board
Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty was raised for Singapore Citizens (second property: 20%), PRs (5%/30%/35%) and foreigners (60%).
